A popular support RIB 

The new Ballistic 4.8m Club is a popular choice of safety boat for training centres, boat clubs and watersports activity centres.

In the 4.8 we have created a small RIB that is not afraid of going where the big RIBs go, doing so in enough comfort that an enjoyable day out on the water is effortless. With plenty of space to carry and lay training marks and buoys and a flexible layout of either one or two jocket seats.

Practical and robust, its size makes it handy for ferrying people out to their boats. With an easily removable rear jockey seat, the RIB is easily modified to carry a wheelchair on board too.

Strong, stable and high maneuverable, the Ballistic 4.8m RIB is also a handy workboat for marina operators and harbour authorities.

My husband Atty was born in a boat – he loved them and up until five/six years ago owned a hard hulled vessel. Atty began his hunt for the ‘perfect RIB’ two years before we found JBT Marine.

The team at JBT talked us through our requirements in great detail, listened, and then walked us round the vast boatyard presenting only those that fitted the brief. We were both incredibly impressed by their knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm. What great guys. We ended up buying a Ballistic 5.5m RIB and never looked back.

I became captain of ‘Baby Ballistic’ two years ago. I was a complete novice, but very keen to give it a go as my children loved the boat as much as their Daddy did. I needed BIG help and support in all aspect of maintenance and transport. Amazingly it worked out. We did it and have had two glorious summers afloat.
